location: West Vancouver, BC 

Objectives:

To design a home for a couple, with a passion for gardening and outdoor living, to “age in place” with room to accommodate extended family gatherings and a future care-giver suite.

Results:

The form of the home with its  large roof,  long dormers and covered front porch was developed to meet our client’s desires for a “cottage” style home reminiscent of homes in South Africa and heritage homes in West Vancouver. The main floor of the home features accessible design and contains all of the necessary rooms to age in place and live stair free while the upper and lower floors accommodate space for family & and future care-giver.
